How to Track New Business and Stay Organized

Tracking new business is one of the biggest parts of your job as a admin. This is how the agent gets paid, and how they are able to pay You! Here are some tips on how to track new business and stay organized.


There is an excel spreadsheet attached, I HIGHLY recommend putting this into a Google Spreadsheet.

In this spreadsheet there is a tab to track the agent's writing numbers for each carrier. There are also tabs for pending, approved and declined/withdrawn, that way you can keep up with what stage the policy is in.

This spreadsheet will help you stay organized, but also help you structure your day as far as your schedule for the day goes. This will help you prioitize what policies you need to follow up on that day or in the future.
